EXPERIRIFashion Design
2022
While a senior at Carnegie Mellon, a friend and fellow computer science teaching assistant asked if I was interested in helping her design a fashion line as part of Lunar Gala, CMU’s student-run fashion show.
With no formal sewing or textile experience, I said yes. The next 4 months consisted of me learning to sew using my mother’s machine back in Texas, and helping put together an entire collection.

EXPERIRI is a collection of 8 looks inspired by different senses & sensations. It is about experiencing the world through clothing. We use varied textures, concepts that excite and represent the senses, and materials that allow for and encourage interactivity with one’s environment. Play and comfort dominate our designs, which are meant to be worn not only on a runway, but also outside! Feel movement or change details while thinking about the ways our senses allow us to interpret what's going on around us.Designed by Skylar McAullife, Lily Oberman, & Asad Sheikh
Photography by David Domalik, Sabrina Xu, & Olivia Luk
Modelled by Tejas Ventakesh, Cathy Deng, Ethan Yang, Morgan Boyd, Carmyn Talento, Angelica Kim, Amy Hu, Melody Sun
